San Francisco Dance Film Festival Calls for Entries by May 1
Student Films Collaboration with LINES Dance Center, Unbound Collaboration with San Francisco Ballet
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival has opened the call for submissions for the 2018 Festival. The Festival is open to filmmakers, choreographers, dancers, video artists, and students to submit their work now through May 1.
The 2018 season is the Festival's ninth, and the organizers expect over 2,500 people to attend this year's screenings. In addition to short programs and feature documentaries, this year the Festival will include narrative feature films, music videos, and a full day of programming to live performance capture films. As in previous years, virtual reality and art/experimental works will also be presented.

Special Showing of Student Films
San Francisco Dance Film Festival and Alonzo King LINES Dance Center will present short dance films created by students from a six-week screendance workshop presented by LINES Dance Center and taught by Ben Estabrook. The screening will include also student films from past festivals and a post-screening discussion with participating filmmakers. More Information.
Unbound: A Festival of New Works - #Unbound2018
As part of Unbound: A Festival of New Works, San Francisco Dance Film Festival has collaborated with San Francisco Ballet to partner four Festival choreographers with film directors to create short dance films "inspired by the emotional impact, daring physicality, and artistic expression of these new ballets."
