Aaron Robison Returns to San Francisco Ballet
SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, July 10, 2018—San Francisco Ballet has announced that former Principal Dancer Aaron Robison will return to the Company for the 2019 Season. Robison originally joined San Francisco Ballet as a principal dancer in 2016. He left San Francisco Ballet in 2017 and performed with English National Ballet as a lead principal before returning to the Company in 2018.
A native of England, Robison has performed with dance companies such as Birmingham Royal Ballet, Corella Ballet, and Houston Ballet. At San Francisco Ballet Robison performed lead roles in the world premiere of Pita's Salome and the United States premiere of Scarlett's Frankenstein. His repertory also included lead roles in Helgi Tomasson's The Fifth Season, Nutcracker, and Trio, and George Balanchine's Stravinsky Violin Concerto. Robison was awarded the gold medal at the Seoul International Ballet Competition in 2004 and an encouragement award at the Prix de Lausanne in the same year.
